Newtrax acquires ISAAC’s mining division and becomes the world leader in Fleet Management Systems (FMS) for underground hard rock mines
Las Vegas, NV – September 26, 2016 — Newtrax Technologies Inc. (‘Newtrax’) – the leading provider of safety and productivity management systems for underground hard rock mines today announced it has acquired the mining division of ISAAC Instruments Inc., the world leader in vehicle telemetry systems for underground hard rock mines.
Jointly, both companies have systems in more than 100 mines around the world and the acquisition strengthens Newtrax’s position as the leader in underground hard rock production management systems, including fleet management systems.
After the acquisition Newtrax will provide underground hard rock mines with ISAAC data loggers with a network-agnostic communication platform compatible with Wi-Fi, leaky feeder and MineHop, intertwined with a time-synchronized positioning platform that can leverage any existing RFID technologies deployed in the mine including Wi-Fi, EPC Gen 2 and MineTrax.
“Newtrax has been successfully reselling ISAAC products for many years and both companies are neighbours in the same city, therefore the consolidation is a natural evolution of the relationship”, said Alexandre Cervinka, CEO of Newtrax.
“ISAAC came to the conclusion that the best way to grow in the mining market was to leverage Newtrax’s 100% ‘mining-focused’ global sales force, R&D and support capabilities. We are confident this consolidation will ultimately better serve our customers, including our multiple joint customers. After the transition period, ISAAC will focus 100% on the trucking industry.”, said Jacques DeLarochellière, President of ISAAC.
