Electronics Repair Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creation and maintenance of RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process and procedures (document and video)
  • Analyzing and following-up on RMA units (Return Merchandise Authorization)
  • Providing feedback to R&D team based on observations of processing the RMA units from customers
  • Taking ownership of existing Quality Control and Electronics Manufacturing processes
  • Working closely with the R&D team in order to repair electronic boards and mechanical assemblies
  • Travel to Regional RMA centers for certification and audit (Australia, Latin America, other)
  • Training Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and Local and Regional Service Team member to repairing Newtrax devices
  • Creating and following-up on Corrective Action Forms upon faults or errors from CMs and suppliers
  • Creating and following-up on Preventive Action Forms upon discovery of risk of faults at CMs and suppliers

KNOWLEDGE 

  • Excellent ability for understanding schematics, circuit diagrams, PCB drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Experience in Troubleshooting Electronic boards faults using multi-meters, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzer
  • Excellent ability to solder is also essential, alongside general mechanical skills
  • Experience with business process through a Product Lifecycle Management tool (PLM) like Agile or Omnify
  • Knowledge of inventory management tools and techniques (asset)
  • Good skills in Excel for such functions as VLookup, pivotTables (asset)
  • Programming skills in a scripting language like VBA (asset)
  • Experience with High volume production (asset)
  • Knowledge in mechanical prototyping with 3D tools like AutoCAD (asset)
  • Experience within the mining industry (asset)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Technical degree (CEGEP) in Electronics or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience
