Electrical Engineering Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES

       First Line Support
  • Telephone and hardware support
  • Remote diagnosis to refer the client to the potential problem
  • Real-time telephone support with a technician during interventions
        Installation Support
  • Review the installation before visiting the field, meet with the installer or present the installation notes and hand him all the documents including the necessary application and the configuration file for the vehicles to be instrumented
  • Produce and provide installation notes
  • Support the installer during deployments
    • Help him solve various problems he discovers along the way
    • Change configurations as needed
  • Validate data after installation
         Training
  • Train mechanics on the diagnosis and maintenance of the Newtrax telemetry system
  • Training on InDetails software for event analysis
  • ISAAC ‘Extract’ Application training (OnRecord and InRealtime)
          Administration
  • Produce facility notes
  • Produce various procedures according to the specific needs of the clients
  • Provide RMA management and provide documentation to the customer for the return of defective parts
          Pre-deployment 
  • Audit in the field to validate the future installation (length of wires, position of the ISAAC unit …)
  • Validate parts list sold with Paul and JPB modify as needed
  • Do the scans to allow reverse engineering to know the CAN messages of new vehicles or signals that we do not have to add them to the configuration of the ISAAC recorder
  • Producing and maintaining ISAAC recorder configurations, pushing distances to customers when there have been changes

           R & D

  • Test of new modules / functionality on mining equipment
  • Audit once deployed to ensure long-term operation

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years experience with maintenance / electrical systems repair (12 or 24 VDC) on heavy equipment or installation of electronic system on heavy equipment
    • Mining Equipment an asset
  • Capable of reading electrical (DC) and hydraulic
    • Electrical plan AC an asset
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (J-1939, CANBUS, etc.)
  • Familiar with computerized work (laptop), the Microsoft Office suite and the configuration applications of Newtrax telemetry systems
    • Knowledge of technical drawing an asset
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
    • French and Spanish an asset
  • Available for travel abroad (passport in good standing and no criminal record)
  • Available to work in an underground mine
